Christopher Hilton has been promoted to executive vice president of Empire National Bank, a full-service community bank headquartered in Islandia, New York. He retains his role as chief credit officer.
Hilton has been a member of Empire National's management team since the financial institution's 2008 launch. Prior to this appointment, he held the title of senior vice president. His responsibilities include managing and administering all aspects of credit and lending functions and serving as the bank's Community Reinvestment Act officer.
"Chris' comprehensive knowledge of all facets of the lending and credit approval process, along with his familiarity of complex regulatory requirements, has been integral to the growth of the bank and its sound financial foothold. His new title reflects the importance of his responsibilities," said Empire National Bank's chairman and chief executive officer Douglas Manditch.
Prior to joining Empire National, Hilton held the title of vice president and commercial loan officer at New York Commercial Bank following its acquisition of Long Island Commercial Bank.
He received a bachelor of science degree in Accounting from Providence College, Providence, Rhode Island and a Master of Business Administration from Long Island University.
Hilton's involvement in Long Island's philanthropic community includes serving as a director for the Child Care Council of Suffolk, Inc. and as board secretary and director of the Long Island Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. An active professional, he is a director of the Long Island Chapter of the Risk Management Association.
