According to Monday Properties, Desmarais LLP has signed a new 22,168 s/f lease for the entire 25th floor at 230 Park Ave., doubling its presence in the landmark building. Desmarais LLP will now occupy both the entire 26th and 25th floors, totaling more than 44,000 s/f.
David Stockel, Peter Van Duyne and Chris O'Callaghan of Cushman & Wakefield represented Desmarais LLP in the negotiation of the original 26th floor lease in August 2010, as well as for the full floor expansion onto the 25th floor. Monday Properties' Jordan Berger represented the landlord in both deals.
"The Desmarais firm came to 230 Park Ave. in 2010 poised for growth. We developed an expansion path to tap newly vacant space on the contiguous 25th floor, which we will build as turnkey space that relates to the same high quality office the firm has today. This transaction underscores how 230 Park Ave. can accommodate firms across a spectrum of growth and businesses," said Brian Robin, COO, Monday Properties.
