Shopping Centers
In deals arranged by Douglas Weinstein of Sholom & Zuckerbrot Realty (S&Z), Harbor Freight Tools will open a 19,000 s/f store in Huntington and a 16,000 s/f store in Centereach - totaling 32,000 s/f.
Both openings are expected in the first quarter and represent the fourth and fifth Long Island leases negotiated by Weinstein for Harbor Freight. The Huntington store is located at 301 W. Jericho Tpke., while the Centereach store is located in the town's main shopping corridor off of Middle Country Rd.
"Harbor Freight's business is booming across the Long Island area, and it shows no sign of letting up," said Weinstein. "We're happy to be able to play a part in this exciting expansion rollout for a high-growth mode retailer, and we look forward to continued business with Harbor Freight Tools."
Weinstein's previous leases for the retailer are for stores in Bayshore and Commack, both in Suffolk County, and Hempstead, in Nassau County.
Family-owned Harbor Freight Tools started in 1977 as a catalog company, and, in the 35 years since, has grown to encompass nearly 400 stores nationwide, serving more than 10 million customers. Harbor Freight offers products from such top-of-the-line brands as Chicago Electric, Pittsburgh Pro, Central Machinery, Predator Engines, Central Hydraulic, Smith + Jones Electrical Motors and Central Forge. The landlords in these transactions were represented in-house.
