Tara Stacom, vice chairman of Cushman & Wakefield and a member of the board of trustees of Lehigh University, took part in a recent panel at the NY Academy of Sciences focused on the role of Lehigh graduates in rebuilding the World Trade Center site. Stacom leads a C&W team working in conjunction with The Durst Org. to lease the three million s/f One World Trade Center, now being developed by the Port Authority of NY/NJ and Durst.
Other Lehigh panelists included James Durkin of Tishman Construction, Mitch Simpler of Jaros Baum & Bolles, and George Tamaro of Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers (retired), who have all contributed to site reconstruction. Stacom was instrumental in establishing Integrated Real Estate at Lehigh (ire@l), which offers students at any of Lehigh's three colleges - Liberal Arts, Engineering and Business - the opportunity to minor in real estate.
