Crystal Window & Door Systems vinyl window products will be one of the building product "stars" of a cable TV house renovation show. Twenty-five of Crystal's popular Series 200 double-hung vinyl windows were recently installed in a Lowell, Mass. house undergoing renovation for a series of upcoming episodes of cable TV's hit show "Flip This House." The Lowell project episodes are scheduled for broadcast during January and February 2012 on the A&E Network.
On the air for several seasons, "Flip This House" follows real estate investor teams around the country as they transform eyesores into profit-making beauties over the course of several episodes. "Crystal Windows offer incredible energy efficiency, great style and tremendous value, all critical factors for the show's projects," said Steven Yu, marketing manager for Crystal Windows. "This is the second time Crystal Window products have 'starred' in a 'Flip This House' project. In 2008, the company's vinyl windows were included in a Connecticut house renovation for the A&E Network show."
The Crystal Series 200 vinyl windows were used on the "Flip This House" project. For this TV network project, an advanced PPG Solarban 70 low-E coating and argon gas filling were specified for superior energy performance. Crystal's standard Series 200 double-hung windows are Energy Star qualified, and as specified for this project, the windows are certified by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) as a "Green Approved Product."
