REPI moves to Stony Brook University

The Real Estate Practitioner's Institute of Long Island, the area's oldest and most prestigious real estate teaching establishment, in order to provide comprehensive course offerings to the widest possible student population, has established new headquarters and classrooms at Stony Brook University's College of Business. The move was formally announced and celebrated at a cocktail reception held in the Charles B. Wang Center at Stony Brook University College of Business on October 27. The Institute was formerly housed at the CW Post Campus of Long Island University. Since 1973 The Real Estate Practitioner's Institute, whose teachers are seasoned top RE/Business professionals, provides credit courses such as Real Estate for College Business Majors; Real Estate As a Second Career; Continuing Education for Real Estate Professionals; Real Estate for Civic and Government Officials; Real Estate for Homebuyers and Investors and more. In its 38-year history, The Institute has trained many of Long Island's most successful real estate practitioners. The Real Estate Practitioner's Institute is chaired by Charles Rich, founder and president of CA Rich Consultants, Inc. a full-service groundwater and environmental consulting firm on Long Island. "The Real Estate Practitioner's Institute has a prominent and respected history in the training of real estate professionals, serving as a forum for the exchange of ideas and important non-biased information affecting the real estate market, and promoting professionalism and ethics within the industry," said Rich. "By making this move to the Business School of Stony Brook University we are advancing these goals even further and stepping up our contribution to the economic health of Long Island." The Institute's board of directors have made a substantial commitment to serving the Long Island real estate community. Many Board Members regularly contribute their time and efforts teaching The Institute's continuing education classes as well as conducting professional seminars and symposia.
