Stuart Ball, partner of Westerman Ball Ederer Miller & Sharfstein, LLP and co-chair of its Real Estate Department, has been selected for the third consecutive year as a "Super Lawyer" in the publication's New York - Metro / 2011 Annual List. Only 5% of the attorneys in the New York metropolitan area were named to this list.
Ball is well-known in the retail real estate industry for his representation of retail and restaurant companies leasing, acquiring and disposing of sites and for his representation of developers, owners and managers in connection with their acquisition, sale, financing, joint-venturing and leasing of shopping centers, office buildings, apartment buildings and other commercial properties.
He earned his law degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 1984 where he served as articles editor of the Property Investment Journal. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Boston University in 1981.
He is a member of the Commercial Leasing Committee of the New York State Bar Association, Real Property Law Section, International Council of Shopping Centers, The Retail Network and Long Island Real Estate Group. Stuart has been a featured speaker of the Real Estate Board of New York, Store Leasing Committee. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County and a member of the Board of Trustees and Co-Chairman of the Legal Committee of Old Westbury Hebrew Congregation and is active in other charitable and civic organizations.
