Boston Properties taps MKDA for upgrades

Boston Properties, one of the largest owners, managers and developers of first-class office properties in the U.S., has tapped MKDA to develop building standards and prebuilt suites at two of its iconic office assets - 601 and 599 Lexington Ave.
"Answering market demand for smaller office spaces, Boston Properties, which typically markets space at 601 Lexington Ave. to full-floor tenants, engaged MKDA to devise the building's first multi-tenant prebuilt program," said MKDA president Michael Kleinberg.
The 601 Lexington Ave. prebuilt program comprises five office suites over 30,000 s/f on the 26th floor. At 599 Lexington Ave., MKDA has devised a prebuilt program consisting of four office suites over 20,000 s/f on the 38th floor.
"MKDA custom-designed every detail from ample reception, conference rooms, pantries and open areas to top-quality, expansive glass-and-wood office fronts that allow the maximum light and views deep into the space," said Boston Properties Senior vice president Andrew Levin.
