Levitan of Sierra Realty negotiates for landlord-1,400 s/f

Alex and Ani, an eco-friendly accessories company with six stores up and down the East Coast, will establish a seventh location on West Broadway in Soho according to Peter Levitan, managing director at Sierra Realty Corp. Alex and Ani will take immediate possession of 1,400 s/f of ground-level space and an additional 300 s/f basement at 425 West Broadway, between Spring and Prince Sts. "A positive, environmentally conscious accessories company is the perfect addition to this neighborhood," said Levitan, who has now closed three retail deals on West Broadway in 2011. "An uptick in boutiques with vibrant, fully formed personalities like Alex and Ani has truly revitalized this block and the surrounding area." Alex and Ani will take its place amidst a shopping corridor that already features such major names in apparel as Dolce and Gabbana, Diesel, Coach, DKNY, French Connection, Swatch, Ralph Lauren, and Anthropologie. The ten-year lease was negotiated by Levitan on behalf of landlords 609 Realty, LLC and 574 Realty, LLC. Amira Yunis of Newmark Knight Frank represented the tenant. Founded in 1953, Sierra Realty Corp. provides commercial and multi-family property management services, office and store leasing, real estate consulting, advisory services to building owners and tenants, comprehensive construction services and acquisitions and investment advice.
