Cushman & Wakefield reps tenant, La Prairie in 9,400 s/f expansion

According to Cushman & Wakefield, La Prairie Inc., the Swiss cosmetic company, has expanded at 680 Fifth Ave. between 53rd and 54th Sts. La Prairie will expand and occupy an additional 9,400 s/f and the entire 11th floor. David Berke of Cushman & Wakefield represented La Prairie. The landlord, Lodz Properties, was represented by Brian Hay and Brian Gell of CBRE. La Prairie's office expansion and related increased staffing headcount are expected to take place in the first quarter of 2012. The company also occupies the entire 13th and 14th floors. With a long-term lease and coterminous expansion in the 26-story building, La Prairie will occupy a total of 22,110 s/f. "The expansion at 680 Fifth Ave. is a result of rapid growth for La Prairie," said David Berke, a Cushman & Wakefield senior associate.
