Long Island Power Solutions to hold power seminar on September 19
September 12, 2011 - Brokerage
Long Island residents and businesses can cut utility costs and help the environment by installing a solar-electric system at their home or business. While the concept may be intimidating to many, Long Island Power Solutions will break it out into easy steps with a free solar power seminar on September 19.
Entitled "The Future Is Solar," the seminar will walk attendees through how solar power works, the logistics of having a system installed, costs, savings, and the incentives and financing that are available.
"This seminar is for anyone interested in saving money on utility bills and protecting the environment, and who would like to learn more about solar power," said Joseph Milillo, the founder of Long Island Power Solutions, a Bohemia-based provider of alternative energy products and services.
The event is set for 6 to 9 p.m. at the Viana Hotel & Spa. Designed and built as an innovative "green" property, the Viana Hotel is in the process of being certified as a Leaders in Energy Efficient Design property (LEED) by the U.S. Green Building Council.
Alan Mindel, who owns the Viana Hotel, is the featured speaker at the seminar. Milillo will also speak, as will Ron Roel, a former Newsday real estate editor, and Michael Deering of the Long Island Power Authority.
