Colliers International has arranged a ten-year 15,000 s/f expansion at 265 West 37th St. on behalf of Arte New York, doubling the architectural and design firm's footprint in the building.
Arte New York, which currently occupies 15,000 s/f, will occupy 30,000 s/f total upon taking possession of the new space in October. The firm also serves as a yoga studio.
Marty Meyer, vice chairman with Colliers International, represented both sides of the transaction. 265 West 37th LLC is the building's owner.
"Arte New York has doubled in size and wanted to remain in the building," said Meyer, who noted that the neighborhood is increasingly attracting creatively-focused firms, including art galleries, architects and graphic design firms, among others. "The additional space accommodates the tenant's goal of housing its larger workforce at one address, and in a 'hip' neighborhood, while also providing space for future growth."
Located in the Fashion Center on the northeast corner of Eighth Ave., 265 West 37th St. is a 250,000 s/f office building just blocks from Penn Station and the Port Authority Bus terminal, with convenient access to multiple bus and subway lines.
