The Kaufman Organization has brokered leases for two Indian owned-denim companies, Revise Clothing and Déjá Blue, LLC, totaling 10,000 s/f of full-floor showroom and office space, at The Denim Building, located at 215 West 40th St.
"After searching several properties in the Garment District, both companies decided that 215 West 40th St., would be the best location for substantial growth in the denim business," said Daniel Lipton, who represented the tenant in both transactions. "Both tenants will have a full-floor presence in New York's top denim building."
Revise Clothing, signed a five-year lease for 5,000 s/f of boutique showroom space. Daniel Lipton of The Kaufman Org. represented the tenant while Grant Greenspan of The Kaufman Org. represented the landlord. Although the terms of the lease were undisclosed, the asking price for the space was $42 per s/f. Déjå Blue, LLC, signed a five-year lease for 5,000 s/f of showroom and office space. Daniel Lipton and Peter Pacific represented the tenant, while Grant Greenspan of The Kaufman Org. represented the landlord. Although terms of the lease were undisclosed, the asking price for the space was $45 per s/f. Built in 1924, the 14-story, 65,186 s/f Denim Building is located in the Garment District. The building features a renovated lobby, 24-hour access, on-site security, and access to all subway lines. Current tenants include Blue Cast Denim Co., Lace Star and Candies, Inc.
