Schimenti Construction promotes Schimenti and Colonnese to project executives

According to Schimenti Construction Co. (SCC), Joseph Schimenti and John Colonnese have been promoted to project executives. In the role of project executive, Schimenti and Colonnese will provide direct leadership to project management staff, perform high level project management tasks, endorse superior client advocacy and be accountable for understanding the owner/client's business objectives and ensure the organization's solutions meet or exceed the client/owner's needs. Schimenti began his career with SCC in 2000 as an estimating coordinator. He matriculated through the SCC professional program where he became an estimator and assistant project manager, advancing to his most recent role of senior project manager. He earned a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Fairfield University. Schimenti has been the designated SCC project team lead for the Target program since 2008. Additional project contributions include: Chipotle Restaurants; Barnes and Noble Flagship; Gap Flagship; Chico's; HomeGoods. Colonnese joined SCC in 1995 in the role of project manager and advanced to his most recent role of senior project manager. His former extensive hands-on field experience has contributed to his thorough understanding of the construction industry and has enabled him to develop a unique expertise combining field, operations, and management experience.
