Skidell of Par Green serves as a panelist at ICA event
June 27, 2011 - Green Buildings
According to The Par Group, Neil Skidell, managing director of Par Green Solutions, has served as a panelist on "Identifying Cost Savings Within Your Building Systems" on May 24th. Hosted by the Insulation Contractors Association of New York City, Inc. (ICA) and the New York Energy Consumers Council, the seminar was held at First American Title Insurance at 633 Third Ave.
The seminar examined the value of mechanical insulation for reducing energy use in buildings and allowing owners to meet new, tougher energy-efficiency requirements. Most buildings now need to undergo energy audits every 10 years and commercial building with more than 50,000 s/f will have to benchmark and publicly report energy and water use annually.
A panel of experts, including members of the insulation contracting community and other providers of mechanical retrofitting equipment, engaged in an important discussion of how building owners can create energy savings through both their existing building systems and the application of new technology. The moderator of the panel was David Bomke, executive director of The New York Energy Consumers Council.
