Actimize is doubling the space of its headquarters location at W&H Properties' 1359 Broadway, according to Anthony Malkin, president of Malkin Holdings, which supervises the W&H Properties portfolio. The firm, which has been a tenant of 1359 Broadway since 2008, extended its lease for the fifth floor, totaling 23,567 s/f, and expanded onto the entire ninth floor of 24,212 s/f. As a result, Actimize now occupies nearly 48,000 s/f in the building. "NICE-Actimize is very pleased to have completed the expansion of its New York headquarters at 1359 Broadway," said Ella Itah, director of global facilities and administration, NICE-Actimize. "The transaction affords us the flexibility to maintain our business growth in a single, high-quality location." "Actimize is an example of the sort of prestigious corporate office tenant that has established itself in the Penn Plaza submarket, and specifically within the W&H properties located here," said Malkin. "Office tenants discovered the area a number of years ago, and continue to relocate to the area. We're delighted that many of these tenants, including Actimize — along with such firms as Océ, Aetna, Kohl's, and Ipreo — have selected one of the W&H buildings as their home." More than 200 of the world's top global financial institutions, agencies and regulatory bodies rely on Actimize to increase their insight into real-time customer and employee behavior, transactions, and activities. The firm was founded in 1999 and became part of NICE Systems in 2007. Its risk management solutions include fraud prevention, anti-money-laundering, brokerage compliance, enterprise risk and case management. Michael Beyda of Benchmark Properties represented Actimize. Jonathan Fanuzzi and Brian Waterman of Newmark Knight Frank represented the landlord. Located in the heart of the Penn Plaza District at 36th Street, 1359 Broadway contains 22 stories and 480,000 square feet of modern office space. It offers convenient access to the Long Island Rail Road, New Jersey Transit and Amtrak at Penn Station, the Port Authority Bus Terminal, the PATH, 15 subway lines and all major bus lines. The property, which won the prestigious 2007 Building Owners & Managers Association New York (BOMA/NY) award for Renovated Building of the Year, recently completed $54 million in upgrades, including a noteworthy lobby ceiling restoration; new lobby and windows; renovated elevators, air-conditioned public corridors and restrooms; and upgraded building-wide systems, including state-of-the-art electrical, plumbing, HVAC and security. Part of the W&H Properties Pre-War trophy office portfolio, 1359 Broadway is supervised by Malkin Holdings LLC, one of New York City's most financially stable ownerships.
