According to eRealty Title Agency Corp., one of Long Island's leading title servicing companies, Don Elliott Secunda, Esq., has been appointed to the position of executive vice president/managing director, where he will be tasked with contributing to the growth of the firm's client relationships and commercial transactions. An industry veteran, Secunda brings more than 35 years of experience in senior management roles to his new position.
Immediately prior to joining eRealty, Mr. Secunda served as Partner at Weber Law Group where he spearheaded transactional, development and lending practices and was intimately involvement in zoning and land use practice. Prior to joining Weber Law, he was a partner at some of the most prestigious real estate boutique law firms in the City.
Secunda, a real estate attorney, has served all phases of real estate law, including acquisitions, divestitures, development, re-development, workouts, leasing, construction and financing to local and extra-national businesses, developers and institutions. His experience includes serving as lead counsel to the FDIC and RTC, special real estate and regulatory counsel in the U.S. Government's litigation involving fraudulent commercial mortgage practices, and real estate securities counsel to H. Carl McCall, NYS Comptroller.
Secunda's strong track record of policy implementation and strategic development supplements his new responsibilities which encompass working with multiple business units to enhance the company's overall growth by maximizing residential and commercial title services. In a broader capacity, Don will be focused on fulfilling the title insurance needs of developers, investors, attorneys and other real estate professionals in the City and on Long Island. As the firm develops its 1035 Exchange Division, Mr. Secunda's real estate valuation and asset based restructuring models will be instrumental in the expansion of the firm's commercial business services.
Secunda earned his bachelors degree from Queens College and received his J.D. from New York Law School. He is admitted to the New York State Bar and the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States as well being a member of NY County Lawyers' Association.
