Abramson of Buchbinder & Warren and Reuben of Alliance Parking honored by UJA Federation of New York; For leadership/commitment to camps and community centers

The annual award for leadership and commitment given by the UJA Federation of New York honored William Abramson and Gregg Reuben on April 6th for their leadership and commitment to camps and community centers. Abramson currently serves as president of the Riverdale YM - YWHA, where he has been a trustee for more than 10 years. He is a former chair of Community Board 8, VP of the Union Square Partnership, a member of the Greenwich-Village Chelsea Chamber of Commerce, The Village Alliance, a mayoral appointee to the Workforce Investment Board and is active in many other areas of the community. He is the director of brokerage at Buchbinder & Warren and was previously 1st VP at Chelsea for nine years. Reuben is the founder and CEO of Alliance Parking. His career began in 1992 while a student at Pepperdine University as the owner of Autofair America, Inc., an operator of parking lots and swap meets. From 1998 to 2003 he was an executive with Ampco System Parking, a NYSE company with over 1,800 parking facilities and one of the nation's largest providers of parking management services. While at Ampco System Parking, he became the company's youngest VP in its company history and head of its mergers and acquisition department. From 2003 to 2007 he was a partner with Laz Parking, a national parking company with over 1,300 garages nationwide. In 2007 he founded Alliance Parking. Alliance Parking currently owns, manages and leases approximately 25 parking facilities throughout the New York metropolitan area as well as Miami and employs over 200 individuals. He has been a trustee of Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds for two years. During that time he has served as co-founder and co-chair of the annual Citi Field fundraiser, a member of the building, development and investment committees. Additionally, he has been responsible for a multitude of capital improvement projects at their Staten Island site.
