Siben and Kahr of JDF Realty and Owles and Rappaport of Sinvin Real Estate collaborate to bring Cafe Pushkin to New York City-7,200 s/f
May 6, 2011 - Shopping Centers
The multi-level restaurant space at 41 West 57th St., formerly home to Shelly's Big City, has been leased to Moscow's Café Pushkin.
That opulent restaurant, built as a faithful recreation of a 19th Century aristocratic residence, is the power lunch spot of choice for oligarchs, visiting politicians, and tourists. The company owning it also has other elaborate restaurants in Moscow and Paris.
What better spot than West 57th St., an intersection of art, commerce and tourism, home to the Russian Tea Room, Nobu and Brasserie 8 1/2, to place Moscow's pleasure dome?
Although deal terms were not disclosed, the asking rent for the 7,200 s/f triplex space, with 2,500 s/f on the ground, 2,500 s/f on the lower level, and a 1,200 s/f mezzanine, was $1 million a year.
JDF Realty brokers Leslie Siben and Benjamin Kahr represented the tenant. Christopher Owles and Steven Rappaport of Sinvin Real Estate represented the landlord, Kamran Hakim.
