Schimenti Construction represents the third generation of a family that can traces its roots in the construction industry to the 1960s. Matthew Schimenti founded Schimenti Construction in 1994. His father Donald, who had apprenticed with Matt's grandfather Michael in the 1960s as the New York metro area was experiencing a building boom, had founded AMD Construction in 1971. Michael Schimenti was an architect, who with his partner Max Wechsler, was a prolific designer and builder of large scale projects. He built such large-scale projects as a 500-unit apartment complexes, 60+ story office towers, schools, and shopping centers in the metro New York area. With this exceptional family history in the construction industry, Matt used his extensive knowledge and experience to create a construction company focused on quality.
