CB Richard Ellis/Syracuse completes 15 transactions

According to Michael Finn, managing partner, CB Richard Ellis/Syracuse, N.Y., LLC, has completed the following commercial real estate transactions:
* Bill Anninos, of CB Richard Ellis/Syracuse, and Mark Sprague, of CB Richard Ellis/Downtown Los Angeles, Calif., represented
L-3 Communications Corp. in the lease renewal of 428,000 s/f of commercial space at 265 Industrial Park Dr., Binghamton. L-3 Communications Corp. is a defense contractor in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, secure communications, government services, training and simulation, and aircraft modernization and maintenance. The landlord is the Broome County Industrial Development Agency.
* Peter Finn, executive vice president, and Mark Rupprecht, CCIM, senior broker, represented the landlord, National Industrial Portfolio in the lease of a 273,225 s/f building at 3407 Walters Rd., Syracuse. This will serve as an additional location for the tenant, G & C Food Distributors Inc., a re-distributor of frozen and refrigerated food products.
G & C plans to renovate and upgrade the facility.
* Anninos and The Global Corporate Services Team of CB Richard Ellis/Atlanta, Ga., represented Frito-Lay in two lease renewals. Frito-Lay leased 25,200 s/f of commercial space at 29 Corporate Circle, East Syracuse and leased 3,800 s/f at 26 Corporate Circle. Both spaces will be used for the snack food company's warehousing and distribution.
* Ed Kiesa, CCIM, of CB Richard Ellis/Syracuse, represented the seller - the real estate holding company for General Motors, in the sale of 716 W. Genesee St., Syracuse. The 22,000 s/f former Saturn dealership located on 2 acres of land, was purchased by Autorow Realty, LLC. The building is partially owner occupied for auto sales, with additional space available for lease.
* Kiesa, CCIM, exclusively brokered the sale of 942 Rte. 13, Cortland, on behalf of United Auto Supply. The property is an 18,000 s/f former hardware store.
* Robert Nelson brokered the $1.9 million sale of Freedom Plaza, 26121 U.S. Rte. 11, Evans Mills. The 13,280 s/f plaza is anchored by Carthage Area Hospital Clinic and Subway, and is located in an emerging retail corridor adjacent to the north gate of Fort Drum. Northern Developers, LLC, the original developers of the plaza, sold the property to Freedom Plaza, LLC, a local investment firm which owns several office and retail properties.
* Kiesa, CCIM, consulted with the Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church in the evaluation of the local real estate market, leading to the conference's subsequent relocation to shared space in one of its local churches at 1085 E. Genesee St., Syracuse.
* Kiesa, CCIM, represented Empower Federal Credit Union in its analysis of the western suburban market, leading to the purchase of the 7,200 s/f former Whalen Bros. Funeral Home at 3700 W. Genesee St., Camillus. The building will be converted to a full-service Empower branch facility with drive-up services.
* Anninos, of CB Richard Ellis/Syracuse, and Josh Leibowitz, of CB Richard Ellis/NYC, NY, represented Envisage Information Systems, LLC, in the lease of 5,500 s/f of office space at 21 Dutch Mill Rd., Ithaca. Envisage Information Systems is a software development company that provides record keeping system, data connection and workflow automation products.
* Anninos and Rick Searles represented the tenant, Speedpro Imaging in the lease of 5,000 s/f of commercial space at 6507 Basile Rowe, East Syracuse. Speedpro Imaging is a provider of large-format digital imaging and graphics services. The East Syracuse location is one of Speedpro Imaging's approximately 70 locations across the U.S. and Canada. Basile Family Partnership is the landlord of the property.
* Anninos exclusively brokered the sale of 1621 Lemoyne Ave., Syracuse. The 4,000 s/f commercial building was formerly a residential remodeling company, and will now be used for automotive customization and storage. The buyer was represented by the Pemco Group.
* Dave Thomas represented the tenant, AECOM in the lease of 3,720 s/f of space in a commercial buidling at 503 Gordon Ave., Syracuse. AECOM, a CB Richard Ellis corporate client, is an environmental air quality services firm, which relocated from East Molloy Road, East Syracuse. Pyramid Brokerage Company represented the landlord, DeStefano Development.
* Anninos, of CB Richard Ellis/Syracuse, and Tim Reynolds, of CB Richard Ellis/Chicago, IL, represented Allstate Insurance Co. in the lease renewal of 2,605 s/f of office space at 5784 Widewaters Pkwy., East Syracuse. The landlord was represented by JF Real Estate.
* Ed Kiesa, CCIM, exclusively brokered the sale of 6 Hoag Road, Phoenix, on behalf of the owner MAT Properties. The 2,200 s/f, 3-bay car wash on 4 acres, will be modernized and reopened as a car wash.
* Mark Rupprecht, CCIM, represented the seller Tom Astafan in the $125,000 sale of 13.47 acres at 4677 Wetzel Road, Liverpool, to National Grid.
