Elisa Liontos, welcomes the opportunity to support chapter's governance representing the USGBC-LI Board for state and local governments. Currently, a member of Sustainable Task Force for the Dormitory Authority State of New York Construction Division. Liontos endorses the Triple Bottom Line Theory of Sustainability which includes Environmental Protection, Economic Prosperity and Social Well-Being. Participation in Minority/Women Owned Business Enterprise conference and the Nassau County Subsidized Employment Program supports her commitment to local business development, governmental programs and the USGBC-LI Chapter.
Victor DaCosta is a partner with Alternative Solutions of New York. His company provides strategic consulting and management services for projects incorporating green building concepts and alternative energy solutions. He has over 15 years professional experience managing multimillion dollar technology and construction projects. Through his various roles, he has the combined experience of project planning and execution, budgeting, strategy and technical planning, international projects, vendor management, contract negotiation and field support.
As vice-chairman of the Programs Committee for the USGBC Long Island chapter and stakeholder in the Greater Long Island Clean Cities Coalition (GLICCC) he is a strong advocate for sustainable building and alternative fuel technologies. He holds an MBA in International Business from Franklin College in Switzerland / LIU.
