Thru the Lens: IREM names Engel of Langsam Property Services as CPM of the Year

The Greater New York Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) awarded Matthew Engel, CPM, VP of Bronx-based Langsam Property Services, Inc. with their most prestigious award—Certified Property Manager of the Year.
Engel began his career at Langsam Property Services in 2001. Currently VP, he works with all facets of the organization, including asset management, maintenance and building operations, law enforcement cooperation and internal office departments. In these roles, he is able to assist each department while striving to improve the organization's processes and overall operations.
Engel graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1999 with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Economics, with a concentration in Real Estate and Finance. In addition to being a certified property manager, he holds a NYS real estate broker's license. Engel currently serves as the 2009-2011 president of the Bronx Manhattan North Association of Realtors; is the 1st VP of the Bronx Realty Advisory Board; serves on the executive committee of the Community Housing Improvement Program and on the Rent Stabilization Association's board of governors.
Newly inducted 2011 chapter president Diana Bosnjak, CPM, said, "Matthew Engel is the epitome of what IREM stands for—excellence in professional property management through ethical management practices."
