Barrett of Massey Knakal re-elected president of Westchester Putnam Association of Realtors CID

John Barrett of Massey Knakal Realty of the Bronx, has been re-elected president of the Commercial & Investment Division (CID) of the Westchester Putnam Association of Realtors (WPAR). This marks Barrett's second term as president.
The Yonkers native joined Massey Knakal Realty Services in 2005 to spearhead the firm's expansion into Westchester County. In 2007, he was recognized for his work in expanding Massey Knakal's business outside of its New York City origins and received the firm's Steven Spinola award for Outstanding Business Development and Goodwill Promotion.
His recent notable transactions are the sale of The East Hartsdale Ave. Retail Portfolio, the sale of the investment package of 116 unsold apartments at Riverview Gardens Cooperative and the sale of a 44-unit apartment building at 126 Franklin Ave. in New Rochelle.
Barrett came to Massey Knakal following a career as the founder and president of Barrett Travel Service, Inc., a corporate and group travel management firm.
Jeffrey Orlan, Esq. of Jeffrey Orlan, P.A., P.C., was re-elected as VP of the CID. Based in New City, Orlan's practice concentrates in landlord and tenant transactions, purchases, sales and refinancing of commercial properties.
The Commercial and Investment Division of the Westchester Putnam Association of Realtors comprises commercial brokers, lenders, developers and others involved with commercial development in the Westchester-Putnam region. The Division provides education about commercial real estate practice and also offers a monthly breakfast program featuring elected officials, economic development agencies, important developers and developments, and resource providers for timely information about the region's office, retail and industrial development.
