"Hidrock Realty has arranged a 7,200 s/f lease for Emmy Award-winning production studio Shilo at 12-16 Vestry St. in Tribeca for a term of ten years," said, Abraham Hidary, president of Hidrock.
Shilo, a commercial directing collective that focuses on live-action, design and animation, is relocating from 180 Varick St. in Hudson Sq. It will occupy the entire fourth floor in spring 2008.
The firm earned an Emmy Award for Outstanding Main Title Design for its work on the main title sequence for Showtime's acclaimed show, Huff. Other Shilo clients include BBDO, HBO, Modernista, MTV, Nike, Cingular, Gap and Scion.
This is the third expansion lease that Robert Kaplan, senior director at Hidrock, has arranged on behalf of the tenant since 2004.
"The Shilo brand is growing and business is thriving," said Kaplan. "Although the tenant was not actively be looking to move into Tribeca, it was drawn to the full-floor space and the vibrancy of the area."
Peter Fontanetta of Trinity Real Estate represented the landlord.
