Inscape opens new showroom in Montréal

November 5, 2010 - Brokerage
Inscape Corp. celebrated the opening of its new showroom by hosting a party for local designers, architects and clients. The 2,200 s/f showroom is located in the historic district that is home to many design firms. The wood floors, original steel beams and brick walls in the century-old building have been restored to maintain the building's original features and character, providing a unique backdrop for the contemporary aesthetic of Inscape's products. The approach for the design of the showroom was minimalist in nature. The focus was on highlighting the clean lines and architectural aesthetic of Inscape's products. Low height panels allow natural light flowing in from the large windows to permeate the space while the Interval post + beam system provides structure and delineates space within the showroom. Custom screens hung on the Interval product display sketches of the inspiration for the design of the Scala and Planna products. The color palette is a combination of the building's rich, dark wood beams and brick contrasted with the light natural maple wood, silver and white finishes of the product and highlighted by bursts of color in the product and peripheral seating. Accessories include natural wood cut from the plentiful forests in the province of Quebec. The showroom features Inscape's integrated product solutions in applications including low panel workstations, benching, private office and informal collaboration areas. The showroom celebration was an opportunity for the local A&D community to experience Inscape's creative product solutions and meet with executives from Inscape. "Establishing a showroom in Montreal is another example of Inscape's commitment to developing our business in this important region of Canada", said Craig Dunlop, Inscape's Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. "We are very pleased to be able to support our partners by increasing our visibility and presence here."
