WEDLI honors Kelly of Chill Amach Caf

é with semi annual scholarshipLong Island, NY Women Economic Developers of LI (WEDLI) presented its semi annual Sally Slacke/Dorothy Tripp Scholarship Award to Alice Kelly of Chill Amach Café & Gallery. Kelly, a graduate of Suffolk Community College's (SCC) Entrepreneurship Program, is also setting up a retail café and gallery in the Huntington area. The scholarship recognizes female entrepreneurs seeking to start or expand a business or improve their entrepreneurial skills.
Chill Amach Café & Gallery is an on-line gallery showcasing LI artists and craftspeople's work for sale.
Funded by WEDLI co-founder and past president, Roz Goldmacher, president/CEO LI Development Corp., the scholarship honors two prominent women involved in economic development on LI. Slacke, a founding member of WEDLI ran a test boring company and was a former chair of SCC. Dorothy Tripp, co- founder of WEDLI and its first president, was commissioner of tourism for the town of Hempstead and chair of the LI Convention & Visitors Bureau. Also in attendance was Lucille Wesnofske, WEDLI president and director of the Small Business Development Center at SUNY Farmingdale.é & Gallery and Roz Goldmacher of LI Dec. Corp.
