3t and HRCCU community to design operations center
September 27, 2010 - Brokerage
3tarchitects, an award winning progressive architecture firm in Downtown Albany, has been retained by Hudson River Community Credit Union (HRCCU) to design their operations center featuring an integrated full-service branch. Additionally, 3t has selected Saratoga-based landscape architectural firm, The LA Group, to join their team. 3t has been working with HRCCU, guiding them through their preliminary programming analysis and are immersing themselves into the new design.
"3t is very excited ..." said Scott Townsend, principal of 3t. "Our missions are symbiotic in that both 3t and HRCCU are devoted to sustainable planning and green design principles. The new operations center and branch will have numerous attributes beyond the typical credit union operations center and branch. It will become a place where people will want to be and where employees want to work."
The newly constructed building will be 20,000 s/f with an additional space allocated adjacent for potential future growth. Energy conservation measures and environmentally friendly standards and practices will be incorporated throughout the new facility. The new building will house the operations center and branch but, just as important, it will be utilized as a marketing tool to attract and maintain business while appealing to current and future employees.
"We are excited to work with such a talented and creative architectural firm like 3t," said Susan Commanda, HRCCU CEO.
