Suzanne Sunshine, along with Cushman & Wakefield, arranged a four-year, 26,000 s/f sublease at 125 Park Ave. on behalf of The Atlantic Philanthropies. They sublet the entire 21st floor to New York Blood Center. Atlantic Philanthropies, which Cushman & Wakefield represent, wanted to sublet its vacated space at 125 Park Ave. to another non-profit because of the multiple synergies between the like-minded organizations. Sunshine served as an advisor to Atlantic Philanthropies. Glenn Markman, a C&W executive VP, led the brokerage team's leasing efforts on behalf of Atlantic Philanthropies. David Lebenstien, of Cassidy Turley, represented New York Blood Center.
Sunshine effectively assuaged concerns amongst the various parties that a suitable sublease could be transacted, even as SL Green Realty Corp. was purchasing the building from Shorenstein Properties LLC. "I was able to gather the key members, and assure them that this sublease was in the best interest of everyone involved," she said. "Ultimately, everyone agreed that this transaction was the right deal at the right time."
