C&W names Packman to senior managing director

Marc Packman, an office space marketing and leasing specialist based in Cushman & Wakefield's Downtown office, has been promoted to senior managing director in the firm's Strategic Agency Services Group. He was previously a managing director and has been with the firm since 2005. Cushman & Wakefield's Strategic Agency Services Group is the firm's specialized service group working in tandem with the brokerage and property management teams on behalf of property owners, generating and implementing asset plans throughout all phases of the agency leasing process. Packman focuses on property positioning, formulating and implementing leasing strategies and creating avenues for tenant retention while developing opportunities to improve profitability and increase overall asset value. Packman has 12 years of experience in New York commercial real estate. Some of his most significant accomplishments include his role in a 320,000 s/f renewal and expansion for Latham & Watkins at the Lipstick Building at 885 Third Ave., a 267,000 s/f lease with GE Capital at 777 Long Ridge Rd., a 112,000 s/f lease and a 117,000 s/f expansion with DE Shaw at 1166 Avenue of the Americas, a 115,000 s/f lease with Horizon Media at 1 Hudson Sq., a 101,000 s/f lease with AT&T at 77 Water St., and a 100,000 s/f lease with Eli Lilly / ImClone at East River Science Park. Currently, Packman is involved in the leasing agency programs for more than 10 million s/f of premier Manhattan properties on behalf of clients including Trinity Church (1 Hudson Sq.), Goldman Sachs (77 Water St.), Capital Properties (111-115 Broadway), Union Investment Real Estate AG - formerly DIFA (140 Broadway), Alexandria Real Estate Equities (East River Science Park) and The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (One World Trade Center). Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Packman, was a director of Leasing at Tishman Speyer, where during his tenure he handled leasing for every Tishman Speyer property in the New York area, including Rockefeller Center and the Chrysler Building - a portfolio totaling more 10 million s/f. Packman received his bachelor's degree in finance from Washington University in St. Louis. He is currently an active member and the former membership chairperson of the Young Men's/Women's Real Estate Association. He is also an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
