My advice to a woman just starting a career in real estate is to establish her personal team of mentors, and nurture those relationships. They will give her sound advice, point out pitfalls, help her navigate the challenges of the industry, and introduce her to other like-minded professionals who will help her build her career. It is also vital to stay abreast of changes in the industry through education. I would emphasize the importance of networking and attending industry events, getting involved with an organization such as NYCREW, and developing close relationships with the industry leaders.
