Gohari and Monaco of Moinian lease 30,556 s/f at 1450 Broadway

The Moinian Group recently signed a 30,556 s/f lease for Iconix Brand Group at 1450 Broadway, according to Daniel Gohari, vice president and director of commercial assets. Iconix Brand Group, the owner of a diverse portfolio of fashion brands including Candies, Bongo, Badgley Mischka, Joe Boxer, Rampage, Mudd, Mossimo and many other leading labels, is currently located on the 4th floor of the property. The 30,556 s/f new space encompasses the 2nd and 3rd floors of the property. Brian Waterman and Lance Korman of Newmark Knight Frank negotiated on behalf of Iconix in the transaction. Gohari and Moinian Group senior director of leasing John Monaco served as the exclusive in-house leasing team. 1450 Broadway is a 402,000 s/f office building situated at the southeast corner of West 41st St. in the Times Sq. office district and is convenient to all public transportation and Bryant Park. Offering 42 stories of views and amenities throughout, the Moinian Group has restored this property to its prewar grandeur. The Moinian Group also recently unveiled the sales office of Downtown's new mixed-use development-the new W Hotel and Residences at 123 Washington St., according to Elad Dror, director of residential assets. Located at 90 West St. on the corner of Albany St., this new sales office includes the opportunity to walk through rooms of model homes that feature the furniture, fixtures, appliances, lighting and design sensibility the W Hotel brand has built its reputation upon. The W Hotel and Residences project is a 58-story, 400,000 s/f development consisting of a 217-key W Hotel. Plans also include a full service restaurant and bar with outdoor café, meeting rooms and fitness amenities. Construction is currently in progress; occupation for the hotel and residences are slated for fall of 2009 and SHVO is handling exclusive marketing and sales for the property.
