Rochester's Cornerstone Group breaks ground on $5.5 million project

Seneca Manor, developed by Rochester's Cornerstone Group, Ltd., TRA Development and Arbor Development (formerly Steuben Churchpeople Against Poverty), an affordable 32-unit apartment project on Seneca Rd. broke ground this week. The project includes 12 one-bedroom units, 16 two-bedroom units and four three-bedroom units. The units are for well-elderly, working families with children, and physically disabled individuals who require handicapped accessible units. LECESSE Construction is the general contractor. The $5.5 million project was designed by Zausmer Frisch Scruton & Aggarwal and Arbor Development will manage the property. The project is being financed by partners including USDA Rural Development, NYS Division of Housing and Community Renewal Housing (federal low income housing tax credits and federal stimulus funds), Federal Home Loan Bank and Five Star Bank.
