CCIM and ARES form a strategic partnership

April 23, 2010 - Brokerage
The CCIM Institute has launched a strategic partnership with the American Real Estate Society (ARES), aligning 16,000 commercial real estate professionals with hundreds of thought leaders from academia and the real estate industry at large. Through a grant from the Education Foundation of the CCIM Institute, access to ARES' real estate research will be made available to CCIM members as soon as this summer. Doug Sawyer, CCIM, immediate past-president of the Education Foundation of the CCIM Institute, will serve as CCIM's representative on the ARES board of directors. "As the market changes, we need to grow and change as well; the status quo will simply no longer suffice," said Sawyer. "The CCIM designation is the gold-standard in applied commercial real estate education, and ARES is an esteemed association of real estate thought leaders. This alliance adds further value and prestige to the CCIM designation, as those of us with the gold-standard education will now have even more powerful educational and research tools at our fingertips." The partnership agreement kicks off this spring with a CCIM Institute sponsorship of ARES' 2010 Annual Meetings, to be held April 14-17 in Naples, Fla. Co-sponsored by ARES and the Appraisal Institute (AI), the CCIM Institute will present "Market Analysis and Market Forecasting: Modeling Future Market Trends and Cycles for Valuation and Investment Decision Making." The panel will feature Jay Lucas, CCIM, Terry Dunkin, CCIM, MAI, Doug Sawyer, CCIM, and other industry professionals and academics from throughout the U.S. To register, visit www.appraisalinstitute.org and click on "Upcoming Events."
