Rand Commercial Services (RCS) has closed a $14 million sale on the Jewish Guild for the Blind's Yonkers campus. The 116,125 s/f, three-building property was purchased by Westchester ALP Property, LLC. The 11.07-acre campus and its subsidiaries operated its facility at 75 Stratton St. South for eight decades, and continues to operate its GuildCare facility at 4 Executive Plaza in Yonkers.
RCS brokered the sale for both buyer and seller. Paul Adler, RCS senior executive director, and Nick Spano, an RCS agent and former NYS senator representing Westchester, negotiated the sale.
"The Jewish Guild for the Blind campus is a unique property situated on the Saw Mill Pwy. in a prime location in Yonkers," said Adler. "The city of Yonkers is in the midst of an exciting renaissance and has tremendous potential for the redevelopment of its commercial real estate properties. Yonkers is poised for significant growth and RCS has committed its full resources to take advantage of the city's outstanding growth prospects."
"We are pleased to hear of the sale of the former Jewish Guild for the Blind campus facilitated by Rand Commercial Services," said mayor Phil Amicone. "This is one of Yonkers' featured properties with a desirable location and great potential for future use. With several exciting development projects currently underway in our city, Yonkers continues to stand out as an attractive place for all types of business ventures."
