Ones to Watch Fall 2022: Remi Norris, TerraCRG

Remi Norris
Senior Associate, Investment Sales
TerraCRG

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of?

We executed 356-358 7th Ave. off-market after a multitude of brokers from different firms had been pitching the deal for years. We brought a buyer to the table who had lost out on a deal a few blocks away. After a few weeks of negotiations, we were able to close on the sale at $5.35 million.

Tell us about a mentor or role model that has influenced your career choices?

My mentor is definitely Matt Cosentino, head of the multifamily/mixed-use practice here at TerraCRG. Working under Matt has taught me about the value of human connection and building strong lasting relationships in this business, along with the work ethic needed to succeed.

What 3 skills do you consider the most important to be successful in your industry?

Perseverance, consistency, and the ability to pick yourself up after experiencing setbacks.

What is one lesson that you had to learn the hard way?

So many things are out of one’s control in this business. As much as you can be on top of everything on a deal, issues can and will (most likely) emerge that you couldn’t necessarily see coming. All one can do is manage expectations and be prepared to handle worst case scenarios.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Outside of work, I am passionate about soccer and fitness, enjoy investing in stocks, and cheering on the Brooklyn Nets.
