Senior Architectural Designer
Fogarty Finger

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of?

I’m wrapping up my first completed/built commercial high-rise tower with Fogarty Finger. I’ve grown tremendously in the span of the construction and seeing the finished product has made me more eager for my future at Fogarty Finger.

Tell us about a mentor or role model that has influenced your career choices?

I attribute my success in my career to my mother. I told her at just 7 years old that I’d become an architect. She created the foundation for me to understand the outside world by teaching me to be driven, confident and focused as well as aware, selfless, and creative.

What 3 skills do you consider the most important to be successful in your industry?

1. Resilience - we need to be able to adjust to the market and economy

2. Passion – architecture is art, it requires us as architects to completely pour ourselves into our work.

3. Confidence – to not be afraid to fail, to put ourselves out there and to always keep moving forward.

What is one lesson that you had to learn the hard way?

Every lesson is learned the hard way. Everyone fails and it propels us to learn, engage and thus succeed in our career.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

When I’m not working, I enjoy watching and playing soccer, volunteering at animal shelters and exploring the city by foot.
