Kyroglou named project manager of Racanelli Construction

Racanelli Construction Company, Inc. has appointed Jim Kyroglou, AIA as project manager. A senior level construction executive and licensed architect, Kyroglou brings over 25 years of experience in program management, general contracting, pre-construction management and architectural services to his new position. Directly prior to joining Racanelli, Kyroglou served as a project executive with J. Kokolakis Contracting, Inc., where he oversaw all project managers and superintendents on such projects as the Delta Airlines Terminal C&D Renovation Program at LaGuardia Airport; Old Chemistry Rehab/Addition at SUNY Stony Brook, Kelly Quad Dining Facility Addition at SUNY Stony Brook, Student Center Facility at SUNY Farmingdale, Building Envelope Replacement at SUNY Old Westbury, New Academic Building at SUNY Maritime College and as senior project Manager for the FAA Air Traffic Control Tower at LI MacArthur Airport and the 600 Bed Dormitory Residence at Stony Brook University. In addition to his role at Kokolakis, Kyroglou served as program manager for Southwest Airlines Concourse Program, where he was the on-site senior construction manager for an $82 million Concourse Billing Program funded by Southwest Airlines. Among his other positions were that as: program manager/on-site senior construction manager for the William Floyd Union Free School District, construction supervisor with Fortunato Sons, Inc., program manager for both Aviation Constructors and Turner Construction Company, and project architect with Burton, Behrendt & Smith. Kyroglou holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology, from which he graduated Cum Laude and with Dean's List honors. He is member of the American Institute of Architects.
