Huntington, NY Some of Long Island’s top business and civic leaders joint county executives Steve Bellone and Edward Mangano at the inaugural ceremony of the Long Island Business Hall of Fame. The gala event paid tribute to a select group of business innovators, among them Epoch 5 president Katherine Heaviside, who have had a lasting, positive impact on the region.

“These men and women are visionaries whose contributions have touched lives all across Long Island,” said Long Island Business News editor Joe Dawd. “Each has consistently demonstrated remarkable and impactful leadership skills and a commitment to excellence.”

At the event, Heaviside said, “It’s an honor to be inducted along with friends, peers, and clients with whom I’ve worked so closely, in some cases for decades. While each of us is committed to our businesses, we recognize our responsibility to serve as mentors, provide employment opportunities, and share our experience in order to keep Long Island strong.”

Named a NYS Woman of Distinction, Heaviside is a member of numerous boards, including the executive board of the Long Island Association, one of the region’s largest business organizations. The firm she founded three decades ago, Epoch 5 Public Relations, is consistently named “Best PR Firm” on Long Island for its public relations and issues management services.
