Forchelli Curto Deegan welcomes Renda

Robert Renda has joined Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo & Terrana LLP as an associate in the tax certiorari department. Renda graduated from St. John's University School of Law, magna cum laude, in 2012. He was ranked 9th in a graduating class of 260. Renda concentrates his practice in the areas of tax certiorari, real estate and condemnation. While earning his degree, Renda worked as a law clerk with the firm. During his tenure with the firm, Renda has successfully represented numerous homeowners in assessment review proceedings. He has also assisted commercial and residential clients in Nassau County with assessment issues arising as a result of Super Storm Sandy. Prior to joining the Firm, he was a paralegal at another large Long Island firm. The department is headed by partner, John Terrana, who is currently serving as co-chair of the Tax Certiorari Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association and has previously served as Chairman of the Tax Certiorari Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association. Over 25 years, the department has grown in terms of the number of people in the department, the technology and resources it has developed, and the geographical areas it handles tax certiorari work in. The department has grown from two practitioners to a team of 14 with the addition of Mr. Renda. The 14 team members include attorneys, paralegals and a certified New York State Assessor.
