Drantch of Alcott HR named to Moxxie Mentoring Foundation's board of directors

According to Alcott HR, one of the nation's leading Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs), Dawn Davidson Drantch, counsel, has been named to the board of directors for the Moxxie Mentoring Foundation (www.moxienetwork.com). Drantch is serving as the Ms. Moxxie Program Chair. The Moxxie Mentoring Foundation's mission is to support and foster the career advancement and leadership development of young women through generational mentoring. The Moxxie Network is a women's business community comprised of senior-level business and professional women providing its members with the unique opportunity to interact in a social environment for the purposes of increasing business, expanding their business and social networks, and gaining education about areas of interest specific to women. Moxxie is committed to assisting other women in their career advancement through its Foundation's various mentoring programs. Drantch has been an active member of Moxxie and a past recipient of both a "Mentor of the Year" Award and a "Special Recognition Award" acknowledging her many contributions to the organization and the mentees its mentors serve. Currently, the Moxxie Mentoring Foundation is actively involved in planning the upcoming Emerald Summit 2014 (www.emeraldsummit.org). It will be held on October 29, 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the Cold Spring Harbor County Club, Huntington. The event will include networking, exhibits, an award ceremony recognizing select mentors and mentees, and a leadership panel. Proceeds go to the mentoring programs of the Foundation. As Alcott HR's in-house counsel, Drantch advises Alcott's senior management and human resource professionals on legislation, laws, regulations and rules, as well as employee relations issues, policy/procedural development, harassment/employee relations investigations and compliance with multi-state employment laws. She guides the company's policy and procedural development, employment law compliance and training programs in more than 30 states. Additionally, she is a presenter for Alcott's webinar and seminar series and authors Alcott's white papers on subjects relating to workplace issues for Alcott's clients and the public at large. Drantch is a member of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO) Legal Advisory Council and Government Affairs Committee. She is also a frequent contributor to NAPEO's PEO Insider magazine and a regular speaker at its annual Legal and Legislative Conference. Drantch is a cum laude graduate of the University of Rochester and a graduate of the Washington College of Law at American University where she was an editor of the Administrative Law Journal. She resides in Wantagh, NY.
