About
The Westchester County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) is a public benefit corporation created to promote and encourage economic development in the county with the primary goal of assisting in the creation and retention of jobs. The IDA offers such benefits as:
- Mortgage recording tax exemption on the purchase and financing of land or a facility
- Sales tax exemptions that support construction, renovation and expansion
- Taxable or tax-exempt bonds
Created in 2013 by County Executive Robert P. Astorino, the Local Development Corporation (LDC) provides low-cost, tax-exempt bond financing for non-profit organizations. Any corporation, small company or non-profit organization looking to access the low-cost and tax-exempt project financing made available through the IDA or LDC should contact Bill Mooney, director of the Office of Economic Development, at (914) 995-2943.
