Corporate Profiles: EnviroTrac

EnviroTrac is a consulting and contracting firm that provides turn-key environmental services throughout the country and abroad. They provide cost effective and innovative solutions to complex and routine environmental projects; solutions created by combining the appropriate people with the right technologies to meet each project's unique challenges. As founder of EnviroTrac, Joseph Byrnes is the CEO and president. Byrnes's goals are to continue to grow EnviroTrac as an industry leader, diversify our clients and double our revenues by 2015. Byrnes said, "It is very important to me that our employees have the opportunity to grow with the company, that they are professionally challenged and most importantly have fun." Byrnes received his BS degree in Geology from SUNY Binghamton in 1984 and in 1993 he obtained an MS degree in Hydrogeology from SUNY Stony Brook. His professional career spans over 24 years. When Byrnes graduated from college in the early 1980's the environmental field was very young and jobs were hard to come by. While working as a carpenter in the residential construction field Joe got his first opportunity with Roux Associates and was hired to travel the US and sample rivers and creeks for herbicides. Since then he has been fortunate to work on just about every type of environmental project involving a wide variety of contaminants and remedial techniques. Over the past few years his most exciting projects were investigating a large jet fuel spill in Bermuda and installing remediation systems for a Federal Superfund site in Wichita.
