CABA endorses "Intelligent Buildings Arena" at BuildingsNY event June 17-18 in NYC

CABA (Continental Automated Buildings Association) and Reed Exhibitions, producers of the BuildingsNY and GreenBuildingsNY events (June 17-18, Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York), announce a strategic alliance. CABA endorses the debut of the "Intelligent Buildings Arena" at BuildingsNY through promotional support and its members will provide educational opportunities. The Intelligent Buildings Arena will feature a demo theatre for educational sessions from key companies within the industry. CABA's Intelligent Buildings Arena will feature products and services that integrate advanced technology in commercial and residential buildings such as fire safety, energy management, lighting/security/ HVAC, and system monitoring, and will include companies such as Cisco, Gamewell-FCI, Honeywell, SecureWatch and more. CABA's support of BuildingsNY fortifies its already robust buyer audience. In research conducted with buildings owners and managers, 80% plan on purchasing HVAC products; 77% plan on purchasing energy conservation solutions and 68% plan to purchase life safety and security products. "Attendees to the BuildingsNY event have asked for information and product offerings relating to buildings technology," said Ed Nichols, industry vice president, BuildingsNY. "Our strategic alliance with CABA provides that link and provides valuable educational and product information to attendees. By attending BuildingsNY, owners and managers can see and purchase the products that will not only keep them within code but will also provide a better living and working experience for their tenants." "CABA is pleased to be working with Reed Exhibitions on the BuildingsNY event," said Ron Zimmer, CABA's president & CEO. "Both CABA and Reed share a common vision regarding the future of technology and how it can be used to make a building more efficient, secure and responsive to its changing environment."
