What was your greatest professional accomplishment in 2012? : I have been pleased to be able to work with and help some business clients in downtown New York City with problems arising from Hurricane Sandy. There are insurance coverage issues which need to be sorted out; landlord tenant issues with old landlords and new ones; business interruption issues and general business questions.I also won a couple of trials involving owners and contractors.

What was your most notable project, deal or transaction in 2012? : I helped a co-op building negotiate and obtain substantial concessions and money from a developer who needed an Access Agreement with them in order to move forward with a construction project.

What are your predictions for commercial real estate in 2013? : I enjoy reviewing and negotiating leases and renovation and construction contracts for clients and it is interesting to see where businesses have been moving. There is a shift in concentrations of certain kinds of businesses into different parts of New York City.

What are your resolutions for 2013? : I have been giving seminars on legal aspects of construction and renovation, as well as concerning co-op and condo law. I plan to do even more.
