Aragon Construction begins 20,000 s/f build out for European Investors at 640 5th Avenue
Aragon Construction has begun work on European Investors' new 20,000 s/f office at Rockefeller Center, at 640 Fifth Ave. on the northwest corner of 51st St. The 8th floor space is being built out in conjunction with architectural firm Ted Moudis Associates. The project cost was not disclosed.
"The quality of the work done so far has exceeded the client's expectations," said Cushman & Wakefield executive VP Joseph Fabrizi, who represented the tenant in the leasing transaction.
European Investors, Inc. is a New York-based international real estate investment firm with 20 years of expertise in real estate investment. Currently located at 717 Fifth Ave., the firm is scheduled to move into their new space immediately after the commercial build out is completed in September.
"Together with the prime address, the new space will have it all: high-end finishes, an open, airy layout and creative design details," said Alex Getelman, president of Aragon Construction. "We look forward to delivering the final product."
640 Fifth Ave., often referred to as the Crowell-Collier Building, was built in 1949 by architecture firm Leonard Schultze and Associates, and then redeveloped in 2004 by Kohn Petersen & Fox. The tower stands 22 stories and houses major office and retail tenants, such as H&M, Citibank and Fidelity Investments.
