"Our region is blessed to have many business advisors who can support entrepreneurs as they move through the various stages of growth, and we thank them for sharing their expertise through this workshop," said Jeff Farley, executive director for ARBI. "Since ARBI has recently relocated to the ACC campus, we are celebrating our relocation with this day-long educational program that invites the local business community to take part in a campus event."
The day-long workshop was geared towards anyone considering starting or expanding a small business. The event featured seven separate presentations as well as ample opportunities for informal networking and question/answer sessions. Three of the seven sessions covered financing options, ranging from local banks to venture capital to government assistance programs. A CPA firm and a law firm teamed up to discuss business structure and risk.
Co-sponsors for the workshop included Adirondack Community College, The Post Star, Crandall Library, and North News 8.
