Abigail Michaels Concierge awarded 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in the Northeast by Ernst & Young

Abigail Michaels Concierge has been selected as a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2009 Award in the Northeast. According to Ernst & Young LLP, the awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Abigail Michaels was selected as a finalist from nearly 65 nominations by a panel of independent judges. Award recipients will be announced at a special gala event on June 26, at the Marriott Marquis in New York City. "We are honored to be chosen as a finalist," said Abbie Newman and Michael Fazio, co-founders of Abigail Michaels Concierge, New York City's largest residential concierge company. "Being recognized for building an innovative company like ours is never a solo effort. The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards program celebrates its 23rd anniversary this year. The program has expanded to recognize business leaders in over 135 cities in 50 countries throughout the world. Regional award recipients are eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur Of The Year national program. Award recipients in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award recipient, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California on November 14, 2009. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, the nation's most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies. Starting with a handful of clients, today AMC is a growing company headquartered in New York City, where it provides concierge services to over 90 high-end residential buildings and a growing commercial base of premiere office buildings that include #14 Wall Street, 666 Fifth Avenue, 667 Madison Avenue, 1180 Sixth Avenue and selected tenants at 1515 Broadway. The Manhattan-based virtual concierge company is staffed by over 30 "hotel trained" concierges who handle over 300 requests a day for clients --- ranging from the hard to get dinner reservations to highly imaginative and unique personalized lifestyle services.
