Nick Krasniqi
Senior Executive Director
Compass

“His innovative thinking, unwavering work ethic, and natural leadership have made an immediate impact on our team. He’s not only exceeded expectations on every project, but he also inspires those around him to aim higher. There’s no doubt — he’s one of the brightest emerging talents in our industry.” - Adelaide Polsinelli, Vice Chairman, Compass.

What’s one challenge you’ve overcome in your career so far, and what did it teach you? Starting in commercial real estate in Jan. 2021 during peak COVID taught me how to generate income in a slow market. With few investment sales happening, I pivoted to office and retail leasing to stay active and earn. I also worked with my mentor to provide Broker Opinions of Value, which brought in revenue and sharpened my underwriting skills. These experiences taught me how to find opportunity and create value, even when deals are scarce.

Who has been pivotal in your professional development, and how have they influenced you? My boss and mentor, Adelaide Polsinelli, has been pivotal in my professional growth. She shows up every day with no ego — rare for someone with such an impressive career. She gives our team the freedom to work across asset classes and neighborhoods, which is uncommon in commercial real estate. Her support, guidance, and willingness to help have shaped the way I approach the business and pushed me to grow faster than I ever expected.
