How have you navigated obstacles to achieve success in your career? I try to take a step back from the situation at hand to get perspective so that I can make better and more strategic decisions. I also have allowed myself time to work through obstacles and haven’t assumed there was an immediate solution. Patience and perspective can be really helpful tools and were essential to me when I navigated moves both in my practice area as a lawyer and later when I transitioned to the finance side.

How do you play your strengths to your advantage in your career? I particularly love working on deals with either complicated lending structures, inter-creditor relationships or deal dynamics as that dovetails well with my transactional background. I think it’s equally important to identify areas where you can have professional growth. I make an effort to engage with my partners and other members of our team on issues where they have particular insights or background.

What trends are you seeing so far this year?On the financing side, we are continuing to see an uptick in the demand for ground up construction and hospitality loans. In terms of what is in vogue right now, we are seeing a lot of condominium product targeting family apartments on the affordable luxury continuum.

What do you do for fun? I love travelling with my husband and two daughters. I also really enjoy anything related to interior design.
